Sedimentation and Dredging Study at Panama International Terminal (PSA)
Project: Sedimentation study of the dock and docks of Panama International Terminal, S.A. (PSA)
Client: Panamá International Terminal, S.A. (PSA)
Date: August 2020 - September 2020
Place: Arraijan, Panamá
Description: «Hidroprojectos is proud to present the specialized service carried out at the port facilities of Panama International Terminal (PSA). As part of our commitment to excellence in maritime studies, we have been contracted to carry out an exhaustive study of the sedimentation rate in these important facilities.
To achieve this objective, we have designed a comprehensive plan that included the execution of 3 complete bathymetries using a multibeam echo sounder as data acquisition technology. These measurements were carried out over a year, allowing us to collect precise and detailed data on the evolution of sedimentation in the port area.
The comparative analysis of these bathymetries allowed us to accurately calculate the sedimentation rate, providing Panama International Terminal (PSA) with valuable information for making strategic decisions. Furthermore, as an integral part of our services, we have calculated the volume of dredging necessary to return the facilities to their original design, thus ensuring their optimal functioning and efficiency.
At Hidroprojectos, we are committed to providing precise solutions tailored to the needs of our clients. This project at Panama International Terminal (PSA) is a clear example of our dedicated approach and our commitment to excellence at every step of the process.
