«Hidroprojects has participated in the maintenance dredging bathymetry project of the Port of Bahía Blanca. This project, essential for the operability and safety of port operations, needed to know the depth and volume to be dredged updated with precision and professionalism, which is why that the bathymetry has been carried out with a R2 Sonic 2020 Multibeam Echosounder.
The bathymetric study carried out for the Dutch company Van Oord has included a comprehensive service that included everything from the initial mobilization of our highly trained personnel and the necessary equipment, to the installation of the equipment on the vessel intended to carry out the study, Hidroprojects was in charge of each phase of this service. The adaptation of the vessel, the commissioning of the equipment and the meticulous calibration were carried out with the highest quality standard.
During project execution, our team acquired detailed and accurate data using PDS software, designed to efficiently create high-quality results. Each activity was carried out in accordance with the client’s specific needs and requests, thus ensuring that the results are completely aligned with the project objectives.
To guarantee the accuracy of the bathymetric survey, positioning correction was carried out using an “Omnistar” satellite system, ensuring sub-decimeter precision.
